Artist Bio

1939 Born in Omuta, Fukuoka, Japan.
1964 Graduated from the Tokyo University of Fine Arts
1966 Completed the graduate course; studied under Fujimoto Nôdô and Katô Hajime
Worked for the Iwaki Ceramic Industry Inc., Ibaraki
1967 Studied under Matsui Kosei at Kasama, Ibaragi
1969 Became research student of the Ibaragi Prefectural Training Institute of Ceramics
1970 Became independent and built own kiln in Kasama city
1974 Became an official member of the Japan Craft Association
