As we prepare to celebrate a new year we are delighted to invite you to our exhibit for our thirty-second year as a participant in the annual Winter Antiques Show held at the Park Avenue Armory.
This year we are pleased to offer some extremely fine paintings and ukiyo-e prints focusing on several new acquisitions. Highlights will include hanging scrolls by TAKEUCHI SEIHÔ (1864–1942) and SOGA SHÔHAKU (1730–1781), an early 16th century fwo-fold tagasode still-life screen and a beautiful impression of YOSHITOSHI'S masterpiece, "Fujiwara Yasumasu Playing the Flute" of 1883. We hope you will take the opportunity to visit our booth installation, as it will be the inaugural viewing for many of these museum-quality treasures. In addition to the prints and paintings, we are displaying a selection of ceramics, including masterful work by OGATA KENZAN (1663–1743), HAMADA SHÔJI (1894–1978), KITAÔJI ROSANJIN (1883–1959), as well as a collection of vessels by KONDO YUTAKA (1932–1983) that comes directly from his family and are being offered for the first time.
The fair opens to the public on Friday, January 20th and runs through Sunday, January 29th. The hours are noted below for your convenience. We very much hope that you will be able to attend and look forward to welcoming you to our booth, #7.
